Lawrence wrestles with informational abstractions by day and paints the demons out of his head by night. His analog artwork has graffiti and Asian influences, and is mostly concerned with creating order out of chaos - or vice versa. He works primarily in ink, marker, and watercolor, as he finds the permanence of the marks adds a great deal of energy to the work.

I've had "growth" for my laptop for two years and the first thing I did when I got my new laptop was transfer the gelaskin. I always get compliments on it every time I whip my computer out. Looking through the gelaskins for iphone 4 I always choose your artwork before realizing it's yours. Love it!!! I'm ordering "Shore" for my phone and can't wait to tell everyone its Lawrence Yang. I love your work. I love having my laptop out, no matter where I am, becuase no body knows that my laptop is real. I have "Growth" on my Macbook and I've been stopped at every airport I've been to by the security staff, raving about how beautiful your work is. I love it so much, I'm getting either "Depths" or "Shore" for my BlackBerry Storm.
